CLOSURE OF MILAN LINATE AIRPORT AND TERMINAL 1 OF MILAN MALPENSA AIRPORT
Preventive measures to counteract the spread of COVID-19
According to the provisions of the Decree issued by the Ministry of Transport, air traffic will be concentrated at Terminal 2 of Milan Malpensa airport, following the temporary closure of Terminal 1 and Milan Linate airport in its entirety.
These measures have been put in place in order to reduce the number of people and means in operational activities, and as a result, protect everyone's health.
Thanks to a significant reduction in the number of staff at work, the number of "contacts" and the associated risk of infection will be kept to a minimum.
Consequently, Malpensa Express has also reduced the number of services between the capital of Lombardy and the airport, concentrating traffic on the Milano Centrale - Malpensa Terminal 2 line.
The Milano Centrale-Malpensa Airport link will provide travellers with a connection every 30 minutes in each direction.
From Milano Centrale, trains in the direction of Malpensa will depart at 25 and 55 minutes past the hour until 19:55. From 20:25 onwards, a train will depart every hour until 23:25.
