TRENORD IS MOBILITY PARTNER OF “STEP FUTURABILITY DISTRICT”
FOR MALPENSA EXPRESS TRAVELLERS DISCOUNTED ENTRY TO MILAN'S INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGICAL SPACE
The journey towards the future is sustainable: Trenord is reconfirmed as Mobility Partner of “STEP FuturAbility District”, the innovative technological space in Milan, open to the public since 2022 which, through a multimedia and immersive exhibition, helps visitors understand the ongoing digital revolution and participate in it.
The partnership between Trenord and the new innovation hub is renewed with the shared goal of making environmental sustainability the focus of planning for the future, both as regards technological development and everyday behaviours, such as selecting collective means of transport to get around.
STEP offers a personal and interactive experience during which visitors will be guided along an engaging journey through dynamic installations, immersive spaces and multimedia walls on themes relating to our digital future. An itinerary in stages, accessible through our own smartphones allowing us to interact in real time with the surrounding environment and discover new scenarios made possible by new technologies, from artificial intelligence to the Internet of Things, from cloud computing to 5G.
During the year, STEP will offer, free of charge, a rich programme of midweek workshops for schools and Sunday workshops for families, events and conferences of a scientific-cultural nature.
The partnership between Trenord and STEP has also been enriched with the setting up of an educational laboratory "MY MOBILITY FOR THE FUTURE", aimed at middle and high schools, to stimulate students to creatively plan the mobility of the future, through the interactive and engaging experience of a virtual escape room, based on edutainment and the use of new technologies, always with a close eye on sustainability.
The technology space is located in Piazza Adriano Olivetti 1, in one of the most innovative neighbourhoods in the metropolitan area of Milan and can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes from the railway station Milano Porta Romana. The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Sunday, between 10:00 and 19:00.

30% discounted entry (7€ instead of 10€) to STEP FuturAbility District is reserved for Malpensa Express travellers in possession of an airport service ticket validated within 3 days of the date of their visit.
The offer also applies to holders of a Trenord train ticket to Milan, validated on the day of their visit, and to Trenord season ticket holders in possession of the IO VIAGGIO card/PHONE PASS, currently valid.
The visit to the exhibition space includes an itinerary in stages with a total duration of approximately 60 minutes.
HOW TO CLAIM YOUR DISCOUNT
The promotion, which cannot be combined with other concessions, is valid for the purchase of an entry ticket to STEP FuturAbility District for Malpensa Express travellers.
To claim your discount:
- when purchasing at the ticket office (in Piazza Adriano Olivetti 1, Milan): show your Malpensa Express train ticket, validated within 3 days of the date of the visit;
- for online purchases from the website www.steptothefuture.it: in the section "Tickets" select the date and time of the visit, then select the “Reduced Trenord 7€” ticket. To validate the online purchase rate, show your validated train ticket at the STEP ticket office before entering the exhibition.
